30 Days of Yoga

Self care is so important. This is something I struggle with every single day. Someone I am in a fitness Facebook group with mentioned she was doing a 30 day yoga challenge and I was really interested in seeing what it was all about. I used to love pilates and body flow classes at the gym and even hot yoga.

As someone who struggles with anxiety, ocd, a stressful job and the daily busy mom life I am trying to keep myself calmer so that I can have a fuller life. This came up at the most perfect time for me. I started this challenge on Tuesday after the long holiday weekend. I am keeping myself accountable and getting help from a daily group text about morning workouts.

Today was day 3 and I am loving it. My days have honestly gone smoother, my mind races less and I just feel more at ease. Here is a video of day 1:

If you want to start the challenge yourself, all days then can be found on Youtube as well. The daily times vary from 15 minutes to about 30 minutes. They are short enough to make time for and fit them into your busy schedule, which is necessary for me. This is a realistic daily workout for my life and it boosts my energy and overall well being for the rest of the day.

My favorite pose right now is cobra. I remember seeing Bethenny Frankel post it on her Instagram and I immediately did it the moment I saw it. It is such a great full body stretch. She is a yogi and she's the reason I actually started yoga and fell in love with it so many years ago. She often posts different poses on social media and it really does motivate and inspire me.

After starting this 30 day challenge I realized how out of shape and inflexible I have become compared to in the past. I look forward to getting back to that and all the other lifestyle and health perks that come along with yoga.

Positive vibes,

Jenn
